Ancient Greek
When I opened Mounce’s Basics of Biblical Greek in 2012, I cried literal tears of joy (I’m not even kidding). Since then I’ve been learning and reading Ancient Greek regularly. I began because I thought it would be rad to read the New Testament in its original language, but then I started thinking that it would be really impressive if I could read Plato and Aristotle in their own terms, and the playwrights, and the poets, and the Church Fathers, etc. etc. Ten years later and I’m doing exactly that. Occasionally I’ll come across something in my Greek that I really want to gush about for a little while. Hither go such gushings.
