Religion
Among the various subjects of discussion in Western culture, religion is probably one of the most fraught. On either side of the discussion emotions can run high; there are those who have been dearly worsened by religion, while others can’t imagine life without it. To me religion is so interesting because it embodies both the horror and the beauty of human experience. A subject that ambivalent may be fraught, but it can’t fail to be interesting. Under this heading are contained some of my own thoughts about God, the universe, and everything, as well as much more meta thoughts about other people’s thoughts. Whether you find yourself agreeing with me or not, please remember that the primary project here is to glory in the abject strangeness of Everything. I am not a zealot nor a proselytizer, but merely a curious and bemused traveler. Whether that traveling turns out to be a pilgrimage or fruitless wandering remains to be seen.
